“So Many Great Scenes Were Taken Out Of The Show” – Actress Annie Idibia

Nigerian actress Annie Idibia has been on the entering end of critics following her part in the viral Netflix reality show, Young, notorious and African.

The mama of two revealed that a number of good scenes that might have portrayed her else were neglected from the show adding that she didn’t go to South Africa to plan a marriage but to work.

“So many great scenes were taken out of the show… like soooooo many! At the end of the day Hmm. I didn’t go to SA for four months to plan a wedding I went there for work! I was working my b*t off every single day in Johannesburg.

“Was hosting a lot of gigs there too. Did a lot of shoot covers, radio/TV interviews. Most importantly to also start my household essentials cleaning company there in Johannesburg. Which will be launching here in Nigeria soon too,” she wrote.

According to Annie, the show’s product platoon gave her motherhood and career life the aft seat and only concentrated on her marriage a move that exposed her to mockery from netizens.

“I gave them the mother, I gave them the tasking career woman and entrepreneur and finally I gave them the wife. Told my story as genuine as I could. In all honesty, I gave my whole me to it. Sadly none of those scenes made it to the show, took out my work. The main role I play as a mother in my children’s lives and only put out my love in marriage. Regardless all in all I am happy about the opportunity,” she wrote.

The famed businesswoman went on to admit that despite giving the show her each, she was greatly dissatisfied by the fact that they chose to depict her as they did.

“Let’s all go on with our PERFECT lives. I gave my all out there as usual,” she wrote.

Touching on the renewal of her marriage vows with her hubby, songster Innocent Ujah Idibia alias 2Baba, the actress explained that they didn’t intend for their 10th marriage anniversary to turn into renewal of promises and accordingly the core docket of the show.
In her words, being married to 2Baba has forced her to work 10 times harder to have her own voice in multitudinous circumstances and openings.

“So when I said in my introduction that I have to do the work 10 times harder and more to be acknowledged and given credit because I am married to this man who has been very big, internationally known and successful for over two decades, this is what I was talking about!! Four whole months in Johannesburg/Cape Town wasn’t for renewal of wedding plans! We didn’t plan it, it just happened,” she continued.
