World Bank Declares Ghana A Heavily Indebted Poor Country (HIPC) Under Nana Addo

The latest information from the World Bank sees Ghana ranked as one of the Heavily Indebted Poor Countries (HIPC) globally.

By this, Ghana joins a group of other developing countries with high levels of poverty and debt overhang which are eligible for special assistance from the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the World Bank.

A total of 39 countries that heavily features African nations make up the list of HIPC.

Ivory Coast, Rwanda, Burkina Faso, Ethiopia, Haiti, and Sierra Leone are some of the countries on the list.
