Former President Rawlings’ Mother Dies At Age 101, A Few Days After Celebrating Her Birthday
Madam Victoria Agbotui, mother of the founder of the National Democratic Congress, Jerry John Rawlings has died at the age of 101, fifteen days after celebrating her birthday.
According to Citi News who first broke the news, the unfortunate event has been confirmed by sources close to the family.
Born in 1919, Madam Victoria Agbotui came into the limelight following her son’s ascension to power in 1979.
She was also the head of the catering department at the presidency during her son’s reign.
The former President’s family is yet to make an official statement regarding their kin’s passing.
